Masayuki (Mike) Tagai is the Industry Issues Executive based in Asia at J.P.Morgan’s Treasury & Securities Services. In this role, Mike is responsible for coordinating TSS activity with international market infrastructures and industry associations in the region, monitoring regulatory trends and market practice issues that affect financial market structure development.
Mike joined J.P.Morgan in 2009 after being with Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ for 27 years where he had extensive experience in transaction banking and industry issues management. In the past years, he has been involved directly in Japanese stock market dematerialization, community migration to ISO20022. Japanese payments market deregulation, the Asia Bond Market Initiative of the ASEAN+3 countries, and serving on the SWIFT Sanctions Advisory Group as well as SWIFT Standards Advisory Council.
Mike has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Tokyo and also is an MBA of the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Industry Issues Executive Asia, Treasury & Securities Services
Thomas is a member of RBC’s fund administration team based in London. His role focuses on developing opportunities for the business globally. In particular, Thomas concentrates on accessing new mandates from Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He works with managers who invest into a wide variety of structures, predominately in private equity, venture capital and real estate.
Thomas’ specialisms include fund structures, administration solutions, investment opportunities and corporate governance.
Thomas moved to Bahrain in 1988 with Arab Banking Corporation as the Head of Financial Engineering and then to the Bank of Bermuda as the Representative for the Gulf, again based in Bahrain. He then moved to HSBC Dubai in 2003. Following a stint as Head of Asset Management at TAIB Bank Bahrain, Thomas relocated back to the UK in 2009.
Before joining RBC in September 2011, Thomas was employed as a consultant to Augentius Fund Administration. He was also an adviser to Business Bermuda, developing the profile of Bermuda within the Gulf and Asia.
Thomas is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Mr. Muhammad Hanif Jakhura is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).
After completing training from A.F.Ferguson & Co., Mr. Jakhura joined CDC in 1994. He served as General Manager and Executive Director from 1994 to 2002 and then was elevated to the position of CEO in March 2002. Mr. Jakhura was also appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Ltd. (NCCPL) in January 2002 and served in that position as well as up to September 2005. He has the distinction of successfully implementing Central Depository System and National Clearing System in Pakistan linking the users of these systems across Pakistan. Mr. Jakhura is currently serving as a Director of Institute of Capital Markets and an Independent Director of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited. He was amongst the first batch of participants who completed the course conducted by Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG) for Certified Directors in 2007.
Mr. Jakhura has represented CDC at various international forums including Association of National Numbering Agencies based in Brussels (ANNA), International Securities Services Association (ISSA) based in Zurich, Switzerland, Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) and Asia-Pacific Central Depositories Group (ACG). He has also served as the Chairman of Asia-Pacific Central Depository Group for the year 2006-07. He is serving as a member of the Executive Committee, Asia-Pacific Central Depository Group (ACG) for a term of three years since December 2010.
Mr. Jakhura is also serving in various capacities in organisations promoting education in Pakistan.

Gaetan Gosset, Director, is responsible for Euroclear Bank Product Management in the Asia-Pacific region. His responsibilities cover all products and services offered by the International Central Securities Depository (ICSD), including settlement and custody of fixed income and equity securities, collateral management and fund processing.
From 2006 – 2011, Mr. Gosset was responsible for Account Management and Clients Services for all Euroclear clients active in the Asia-Pacific area.
Prior to moving to Honk Kong, he worked in Brussels in Euroclear SA/NV’s Commercial division as a Sales and Relationship Manager.
Mr. Gosset joined Euroclear in 1995, and held various positions in Operations and Network Management. He was also influential conducting a consultation mission to the Chinese equity depository (SD &C) in 2001.
Mr. Gosset holds degrees in Marketing & Company Management and in Information Technology from EPHEC (Belgium).

Mr. Gary Sum is Chairman of SwissCapital Asia franchise in Swiss-heritage multi-family office, portfolio management, private equity and project financing services for ethnic Chinese/Chaozhou in Asia; CEO of China CFC Group (a private financial holding institution); Chairman of Chaozhou Capital (private placement funds); Vice Chairman of SwissCapital Vietnam Global Commodities Trading Corporation; Senior Advisor of Advisory Board, VIPC Capital; Managing Partner of Miller Gold (venture capitalist) and Vice Chairman of China New Media Foundation.
He was founding President, head of private bankers division of Bank of China's first overseas private bank; formerly senior executive of UBS AG, EFG Bank and Royal Dutch/Shell Group.
Mr. Sum sits in the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC 中國政協委員) Chaozhou City Committee (10th Term) and was elected board executive director of the International Teochew (Chaozhou) Youth Federation. Leveraging on these, he serves family office clients in Asian niche markets with tailored offshore SPV/SPC portfolios and advocates Family ETF for philanthropic interest.
Mr. Sum has regular presence in money programs such as Reuters, CNBC, ET Now, Economic Times, Phoenix, IndiaFOC; IQPC and WBR summits, sharing his comments and opinions worldwide. He also provides daily Chinese commentary at JC Stock with South China coverage, shares in monthly PRC Bauhinia Magazine, HK Economic Journal, HK Commercial Daily and other below-the-line sources.
Mr. Sum recently earned a humble presence in the cover of All-Asian-Leaders magazine among other Chinese Merchants Award 2011 recipients, and elected President of China HK Youth Board of Directors.
